Antenna Kits: Log.-Per.

Log. Per. 0.42-6.0

• Logarithmic-Periodic Antenna for 0.42 to 6 GHz

A logarithmic-periodic antenna that covers a very useful range. Easy to connect through SMA connector. The printed board can be fastened to a holder behind the end segment. The antenne is made from 1.3 mm FR4 and designed by TGN Technologies using latest CAD software.

Max. Power Ratings at 100 Percent duty

These are conservative limits that comply with an operating temperature 50ºC for the PCB
Freq.(GHz)   watts   dBm
0.5   55   47.4
1   23   43.6
2   6   37.8
3   2.2   33.4
4   1.2   30.8
5   0.75   28.7
6   0.5   26.9

FAQ: Why is the maximum rated power decreasing so rapidly with higher frequency?

Towards higher frequency the excited area rapidly gets less. With that the
surface area for convection cooling gets less and less. While at the same time
losses inside the FR4 PCB turn higher. This is an inherent challenge with
every make of PCB Log.-Per. antenna, not just with ours.

Please Note: The SMA-bushing has to be soldered onto the board by the customer for shipping reasons. Soldering and adequate shipping on request.
